My experience in buying my dream car off eBay from HLPAG (Hans Luedtke Performance Auto Group) located in Lake Villa Illinois.
Below you will find the original eBay ad, I took screen shots and had to piece them together but you can see that it is original.
Below are the pictures from the ad, minus the picture of the "R/T" emblem, for some reason I didn't feel the need to download that one.

After seeing the ad I decided it was within my budget (but just barely), I was so excited but didn't want to make a bad/impulsive decision so I called a friend of mine who is a car person and asked him to take a look at the ad for a second opinion. Now I think it's important to note that at this time I was living in Hawaii, the wife and I had just sold our house to get ready to move to the mainland due to the wife's illness, we had made a descent profit on the house so we had decided to allot each other some money for all of our hard work, I knew exactly how I was going to spend my! I was going to FINALLY get that Charger R/T that I have been wanting ever since I had to sale mine back when I was in the Army and couldn't afford the gas, or insurance on E3 pay with a family (this was in the late 70's). Anyways, after talking it over with my buddy it looked like from the pictures as well as the description it would be a good candidate. I did however have a couple of questions still remaining so I decided I needed to make a call to hlpag. I talked with a guy names Oscar, he seemed like a nice guy and answered my questions satisfactory, which were - did it have A/C (no it did not - bummer, but if it was that important I figured I could add it), and was it a column shift or a floor shift, it was a floor shift (perfect), my last question was how much would shipping be to Hereford Arizona, which is where the wife and I were going to be moving in a few days, the answer was $750.00 - perfect, that fit in my budget nicely. This all sounded like the Charger I was looking for and what I had figured was in my budget, so I used the "Buy It Now" option, put my $500 down then paid the remainder through a wire transfer as requested by Oscar of hlpag. The deal was done, my excitement was building, I could hardly wait to get to Arizona, receive my Charger and get to work on it!
